James 4 Day 9

Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” ¹⁶ As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.

James 4:15-16

A good way to start the day is to think about how we want to end it.  This little habit will help us think about how we want to live it, this day in front of us.  And anyone who wants to live in God’s will, will seek & surrender to that will at the start.  Maybe the greatest sign of a surrendered spirit is a dedicated day to the One who gave His all for all of us.

There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?   James 4:12

There is only One who sits in all authority and has that authority to call things alive or dead.  That’s not our job.  That’s not our purpose.  We are given the words of live by the creator of all life.  Speak Jesus!  Speak life!  Why ruin someone else’s day or future with words of death?  Nothing is over until He says it’s over.  So, speak life to those you see, meet, live with, and work with.  God is on the throne.  And don’t pronounce judgment on people or things, speak life.  The One who has all authority can bring new life into old problems, sick people, and lost souls with no effort at all.  God is so good!
