“The Resurrection”

Day 10

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. John 5:25

Where there is redemption there is resurrection.  The heart of God is for the resurrection of life.  It’s in His words because life is in His heart.  Every time He speaks, life happens or can happen.  We must hear and honor His word.  That’s what it means to hear.  We honor what we hear to be true.  When the dead hear the voice of the Son of God they will live.  God said so!  There is life in His word but there must be honor in our hearts.  Learn to honor His word and He will resurrect your life.

“The Resurrection”

Day 9

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.  25 “Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live                            John 5:24-25

Where there is redemption there is resurrection.  We have the power of redemption and resurrection because of what He says, not because of what we do.  We have because we hear.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).  The voice of our Redeemer is the voice of resurrection.  Hear Him!  Listen for His voice, always listen for His voice.  Jesus is calling forth resurrection from the dead for the dead.  He paid the price, we just need to pay attention to His voice, His words.  It’s all in His voice because it’s all in His victory.

“The Resurrection”

Day 8

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.                John 5:24

Where there’s redemption there can be resurrection.  We all can move from death to life because of Jesus.  Because He lives, we can live also.  Most of us believe in the power of redemption but not all of us believe in the power of the resurrection.  The power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in the redeemed of Jesus.  We don’t accept death’s deception.  We’ve been redeemed to be resurrected.  Death must get out of our way because we’ve been given the same power to live that raised Jesus from the dead.  Remember, Jesus went to the cross believing in the power of God to raise Him from the grave.  We have that power through that faith.

“The Resurrection”

Day 7

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.                John 5:24

Where there is redemption there will be a resurrection.  When our wrongs are dealt with our right to live is restored.  Jesus proved that to be true and did that for us on and through the cross.  We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and now we must believe He will raise us from the dead too.  It all begins in our spirit and happens in our soul as we believe.  Jesus redeems us to resurrect us to love again, live again, and believe again.  We have that resurrection power to live again now and then when Jesus returns.  Don’t live in a tomb when God has given you a throne.

“The Resurrection”

Day 6

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life                 John 5:24

The power to resurrect lies in the passion to redeem.  God holds the power to resurrect because He has the passion to redeem.  No matter what kind of death we might have died physically, relationally, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually, God has the power to resurrect our lives because He had a passion to redeem our lives. And whoever believes God can and will behold the redemption and resurrection of God.  There is no ill will in the heart of God so there is no ill effect in the word of God, only the power to get and give life.  Where there is redemption, there will be resurrection.  God has that power because God has that passion.  Don’t live in a tomb when God has given you a throne.

“The Resurrection”

Day 5

God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it Acts 2:24

Death had a grip on us, and the resurrection broke those fingers.  Death can and will visit us before we die.  If we let it, it will trap us in its tomb of death.  In fact, before we were born-again (saved), we were already dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1).  We were trapped by death because of sin.  The Bible says that the wages (consequences) of sin is death (Rom 6:23).  Jesus could not be held in death’s grip because Jesus did not earn the wages of sin by living in sin.  Because Jesus rose from the dead, we too can live free from death’s grip now and then.  Because He lives, we can live.  Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly (Jn 10:10).  The resurrection power of God’s love is here, all we have to do is receive it into our lives and release it from our lives and live!

“The Resurrection”

Day 4

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.                 Acts 2:24

The resurrection defeated the power and fear of death.  Death cannot hold in its hand what the love has in its heart.  Death is no match for the love of God.  Love creates life, it just does, always has and always will.  When we let love rule in our hearts, death is defeated in our lives.  God is love and because God so loved… we can and will live.  The love of God lifted the life of Jesus from the grave.  Jesus believed and lived in that love and so can we.  We don’t have to live in the fear of death nor under the power of death.  We are loved and love resurrects the life of those who believe in His love.

“The Resurrection”

Day 3

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.                            Acts 2:24

The power and permanence of death were defeated in the resurrection of God.  Because of how Jesus lived, He could decide how he was going to die and know how He was going to live again (Jn 10:17-18)  Jesus died from faith, with hope in love and God raised Him from the dead just as He had said (Ps 16:10).  The power of death was defeated by the pleasure of the resurrection.  Death cannot have what love holds.  God so loved us that He came so that we could live in that love.  If we believe, we too will behold the resurrection power of God over the pangs of death.

“The Resurrection”

Day 2

God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. Acts 2:24

Through the resurrection, God defeated Satan’s greatest threat, death.  Death is no longer to be approached with fear, but encountered by faith.  God defeated the devil’s death grip on man.  That was love and that’s what true love does.  Love lifts and liberates the lifeless and lost.  Death can’t hold in its hands what love has in its heart.  That truth works with Jesus and with every other relationship we encounter.  What we’re willing to receive from God, God is willing to raise up for us.  Love lifts and liberates the lost and lifeless soul.  God is love.

The Kitchen Table

“The Resurrection”

Day 1

God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.                  Acts 2:24

God will do what He says He will do every time.  Isaiah 53:10-12 tells how Jesus would suffer and die for our sins but would be allotted a great portion with the great and would live to intercede for the transgressors.  God said what He would do and did what He said.  That’s what God does and that’s how we live in His resurrection power.  God raised Jesus from the grave, just like He said, and Jesus believed He would (Hebrews 11:19).  Remember, God will do what He says.
