Philippians Day 20

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:19-20

We can do all things through Him who strengthens us because He supplies all our needs according to His riches and glory.  God has ordained that we would walk in His power according to His riches and glory.  But we must look to Him and speak accordingly.  There’s a law in effect here.  If we will speak His word we will flow in His power.  God’s power doesn’t flow through man’s words and ways.  God demonstrates His power and pleasure as we speak and walk in His word. His authority has been given to us to live in His power, but we must take responsibility to speak and serve in His word.  That’s what happens as we put our minds on His word rather than our worries.  Rejoice, God has given us the privilege of living in His riches and glory everyday.

Philippians Day 19

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

 Philippians 4:8-9

When your mind in on all that is pure, positive, and powerful, it can’t be on what is poor, perverted, and powerless.  The peace of God is on the other side of our paranoia.  So why do we hold on to the poverty mindset?  There’s a law here.  God says that if we put our mind on His word rather than our world, His peace will rule in us.  Paul will write that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Have you ever thought about that?  That the word of God strengthens us on the inside and then on the outside.  God has given us all power, but we have to chose to walk in that power.  Can you think of anything more powerful that walking in His word?

Philippians Day 18

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:4-6

Never stop being grateful and rejoicing in all that God has done for you.  As long as the mouth is celebrating, it can’t be complaining.  The secret to any relationship with God, self, others, money and whatever is to keep rejoicing.  The Lord is at hand.  You don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to face anything alone either.  The Lord is at hand.  Give Him praise!  Start thanking Him now for what you need and don’t have yet.  Want to beat anxiety?  Rejoice!  Praise God for His help now, not later.  A complaining, critical, pestering spirit only needs a second to sneak into our hearts.  Keep on rejoicing and let yourself and others see what that does for you.  You cannot praise God and pout over your own misfortune.  Rejoice in the Lord always.

Philippians Day 17

Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. 18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things

Philippians 3:17-19

Think about your development.  Are you where you want to be in Christ?  Leadership is about influence and the first person you influence is yourself.  Find someone who is walking in Christ and follow them.  Find someone who is living in Christ and live life with them.  Many believers have stopped, their idea of growing is simply going to church.  Their god is their belly and their end is destruction.  There are times in our lives when we need to identify and clarify what it is we want in this life in Christ.  Our futures are at stake and so are our families.  Don’t just “go” to church, “grow” with the church and under a leader who can take you further than you’ve ever been in Christ.

Philippians Day 16

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.

Philippians 3:14-16

Hold on to what you got!  You’re building a life with God and you’re going to build on top of what you learned.  Hold true, don’t swerve, don’t take your eyes off the road, don’t live distracted.  God has more than you know in store for you.  You’ll never completely reach the end until you’re fully with Him.  There is more that God wants to show you and there’s more that God wants to do through you.  Hold on true to what you have attained.  The problem for many Christians is that they don’t know what they have attained.  Ask the Holy Spirit to show you all that God has revealed to you and through you.  It will be amazing.  The Holy Spirit does valuable things in and through our lives.  You’ll know what He has done because it will be of value.  Hold true!  Hold on tight!

Philippians Day 15

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained Philippians 3:14-16

Don’t just keep moving but keep moving in the right direction.  Get a glimpse of who God has called you to be and run after that purpose.  Those who are mature do this sort of thing.  And if you don’t know what that is, ask God to reveal it to you and He will.  But you know that you are a child of the Almighty, move that way.  Our calling is to be like Jesus in this world.  We pursue that by holding on to have God has revealed to us in His word.  So, grab hold of God’s word today.  Don’t just be educated in His word, be experienced in it.  Make His word your want today and run after God.  Live well by living according to His word.  Live for more in Jesus!  Keep moving in the direction of Jesus.

Philippians Day 14

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.                    Philippians 3:12-14

Never quit moving.  The moment we quit moving is the moment we begin to die.  Never become satisfied with where you are and what you’ve done.  God is bigger than anything you can imagine.  Imagine what it would look like to look like and live like Jesus.  There’s more to livkng in God’s love.  Forget what’s in the past and reach for what God has shown us in His word.  Think about this:  What is God’s goal for your life?  Don’t settle for yesterday’s stories, get new testimonies of God’s great passion and power working in and through you.  Press on.  Don’t veg out in the recliner of life.  When you’re done, God will let you know.
