Philippians 3 Day 9

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and  the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;  in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Philippians 3:10-11

Remember this, desire, not demands, drive change.  Love, not the law, leads us to life.  As our desire for God grows, our drive will be for Him, His word, His ways, and His wonders.  Until our appetites change, our attitudes won’t change.  It’s about falling in love with the One who loves you most.  Love on Jesus today!

Philippians 3 Day 8

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and  the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;  in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Philippians 3:10-11

It’s those who suffer who see.  We can’t share His cross, only Jesus could hang in that place for us, but we can share His conviction.  Evil rules where good men stand silent.  In a world of darkness, you must be willing to stand up and stand out for what is good and right and true according to God’s word.  It’s in saying “no” to the flesh, that we begin to see the Father more clearly.   But we don’t stand alone, we stand in His presence, with His perspective, for His great passion and the power of His resurrection fills our lives.  Those who are willing to suffer are those who are able to see the hand of God.

Philippians 3 Day 7

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and  the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;  in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Philippians 3:10-11

Making knowing Jesus, number one!  He alone is the only One who can raise to life what man has put to death.  He’ll raise you & me to life physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and every other way.  But knowing Him requires believing Him and with that belief comes the breath of God to live.  Make knowing Jesus the most important thing you do and He will give you life for everything else that needs to be done.  Release what you know to receive everything God wants you to know about Him.   It will be like a breath of fresh air.

Philippians 3 Day 6

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and  the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

Philippians 3:10

Our lives are painted by what we desire to know.  Eternal life is knowing God (John 17:3)  This word here “know” means to experience or to see, feel and know by experience.  There are 3 facets of an education:  Education, Experience, & Examination.  And here’s something else, only the study of “good” will help us see “evil”.  If you want to know a life in the power of the resurrection, don’t just talk about Jesus, walk with Him.

Philippians 3 Day 5

and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith                                 Philippians 3:9

There’s a need to sense that things are right.  And there is a sense that things are right that we can earn horizontally with people and there is a sense that things are right that we receive from God.  One we work for, and the other Jesus worked for.  When things are right vertically, they can be right horizontally.  That’s why we don’t try to fix ourselves before we go to God but rather, we go to God and let Him fix us so that we go on in life with Him.  God determines what is right and Jesus makes us that way.  Receive that by faith, because we can’t get it by force.

Philippians 3 Day 4

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of  knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,    Philippians 3:8

Don’t let anything or anyone in the horizontal life keep you from the vertical life of Jesus.  This horizontal life can never give us what life with Jesus can give us.  The vertical life with Jesus can supply all our needs in the horizontal life with others.  Drop what’s horizontal to have what’s vertical.  There is nothing more important than knowing Jesus.  Think about this: Man can only see to the horizon, but Jesus sees from heaven.  He knows our needs and wants before they even arrive on the horizon.

Philippians 3 Day 3

But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

Philippians 3:7

Always remember, there is a horizontal life you can live and there is a vertical life you can live.  The horizontal life ties us to the earth through the expectations and examinations of man.  The vertical life is the life we get from heaven through what Jesus did, which lifts us out of the expectations and examinations of man to live in the love, life, and liberty of Jesus.  But we must decide which life we want to live and sadly many will choose the horizontal rather than the heavenly, but not me.

Philippians 3 Day 2

Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,                   Philippians 3:2-3

Keep your relationship with God vertical, not simply horizontal.  So many horizontal thoughts and beliefs masquerade as vertical truths and realities, beware of them  The best way to know the difference is to worship God in spirit and in truth, from the heart and in the truth of His word.  Once we put our confidence in the flesh, we’ve started living the horizontal, not the vertical life that only comes from God.  It’s all about walking with God, not man.

Philippians 3 Day 1

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.

Philippians 3:1

Rejoice in the Lord!  Make it your habit.  Don’t let anything steal your thankfulness and don’t anyone steal your hopefulness and happiness.  Jesus loves you!  Rejoicing is like flexing your muscles, and it may be your greatest weapon.  Rejoicing will empower you to overcome every physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual enemy.  It is a safeguard!  The Bible says so.
