Text: 1 Corinthians 1:20-25

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Think about this!  Even when we talk about the things of God that seem so frivolous, but He says and does just because He loves us and He can do it for us, they are still wiser than the ways of man.  Even when it doesn’t make sense to pick us with all our problems, God picks and purchases us in His great wisdom because what the world throws away, He throws together to do something wonderful and awesome.  Talk about what God has done and said, it’s wisdom.

1 Corinthians 1  Day 3

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. ¹⁹ For it is written,
“I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE,
AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE.”

Think about the words you are or will use today.  We use all sorts of words and disagree and to establish our disagreement.  Very seldom are those words even necessary but the word of the cross is the salvation of anyone and everyone who hears it.  Let’s talk about what Jesus did on the cross and in our lives for our world.  Speak Jesus!

¹⁰ Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no  divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Thoughts:

The secret to this abundant and powerful Christian life is about coming into agreement with God, about God, and for God.  Every other discussion is about personal likes and dislikes.  When this life becomes about our personal likes and dislikes rather than the life and light of God, things start going south.  It all begins with coming into agreement with the Spirit and the Scripture personally.  He who knows everything now lives in you and I but we struggle and sour because we want to agree with the flesh rather than the Father.  Live in agreement with the Almighty and see the amazing life of God.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, ⁵ that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge, ⁶ even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you, ⁷ so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁸  who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:4-8

You were made for today.  The saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has cleaned us, called us, and commissioned us to be His witness in this world.  You lack no gift.  The only thing that can sideline you is your own tongue of unbelief.  God claims you as His and Jesus will confirm that on the day He returns.  Be the positive voice of the Holy Spirit today.
