And it came about when Samuel was old that he appointed his sons judges over Israel.

There’s always a history before your story. Things are taking place, stuff is going on, and God has chosen you, like He did Esther, for such a time as this. Change happens and we all need to be ready. In an effort to continue the past, Samuel appoints his sons as judges. In moving ahead, God will anoint the kings. There’s a difference and you need to know what it is. Man appoints but God anoints. Appointments belong to those who agree with man but anointings belong to those who agree with God.
