David Day 103
And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab. And he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and my mother stay with you, till I know what God will do for me.”
1 Samuel 22:3
True repentance is revealed in trust. David became a man of trust and a man who could be trusted. There’s a change that follows repentance; it’s no longer all about me but about us. We can live that way when we trust God. It’s His love and loyalty that motivates our thoughts and actions. It’s this loving, trusting relationship with God that changes everything. You’ll need it because repentance doesn’t remove your past, it redeems it. The fruit of rebellion will float back to the surface in the following verses, but David won’t let it interfere with what God is doing in his life. Let your belief in God guide your behavior for God.
