David Day 118
Now, afterward, David arose and went out of the cave and called after Saul, saying, “My lord the king!”
1 Samuel 24:8
There’s a special gift God gives those who live in His favor rather than in their frustration. David would never have to take out King Saul and would raise up a mighty army of loyal men at the same time who would respect what David respected. Functioning spiritually, God would give him favor physically. In this moment, there in front of King Saul and all his personally chosen men, God would favor David to demonstrate his love and his leadership. If David had acted out of frustration with King Saul and his own struggles in life, he would never have discovered what it means to live and work in God’s favor. Don’t give up on His favor to vent your frustrations. It isn’t worth it.
