The Kitchen Table Devotions:          The Game of Life  Day 75

“Hands On the Wheel”

But the goal of our  instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, 7  wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions 1 Timothy 1:5-7

We keep our hands on the wheel when we keep our hearts in the word of God.  Jesus said that the mouth speaks what the heart believes.  The Bible says that belief or faith comes by hearing. God’s word  Our walk will go where our words take us. Our want will be what our words once were.  Our will is what our words are.  Our drive through this life becomes foolish when our words become fruitless. Let’s let our words be what God’s word is and we will always s have some idea of where we’re going and what we’re doing and why.  The goal of our instruction is “love”…
