Day 34
Then summoning him, his lord *said to him, ‘You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. 33 Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’

We cannot release what we have not received. We cannot keep what we will not give. That’s how things work spiritually. God just has a habit of showering us with favor before we seem to figure out what is going on. It’s the kindness of the Lord that leads to repentance. (Romans 2:4). God just keeps coming to us in His kindness until we finally recognize and receive what He is doing. Until we receive the goodness of God we are left with the badness of man. And only our Father, our Maker, our Savior, can give us what we need, and He does, over and over again.
