Day 3
Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. 8 And others fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. 9 He who has ears, let him hear.” Matthew 13:7-9
It’s a very simple story with a very strong message but it can be the hardest thing to understand. The seed has the power for a new and powerful life. The promise is in the seed, not the soil. But it’s the condition of the soil that determines the success of the seed. If the soil is open and obedient to the seed, the seed will do its thing. God made it to do its thing. The problem is never with the seed but with the soil. The Bible says THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM (1 Corinthians 2:9) Don’t doubt the power of the seed, doubt the purity of the soil of our heart. Where there is agreement, there will be authority.
