The Kitchen Table Day 19

Today’s Reading:    Psalm 15; Deuteronomy 16:18-20; 1 Peter 3:8-12

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.  But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

 1 Peter 3:12

Today, be good, do good, think good.  God has ordained good and good makes the world go round.  God has ordained good, He has ordered it personally for this world and this life.  And we all like good, really.  Peter writes, “Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9)  We bless people when we do good.  It’s the key to a life that we can love.  Today, be good, do good, think good.  It’s a God thing so we don’t pull what is good out of ourselves but out of Him.  We think good by thinking like Him.  We be good by being like Him.  We do good by doing like Him.  Paul wrote, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21)  Today, be good, do good, think good.
