Today’s Reading: Ps 119:1-8; Gen 26:1-5; James 1:12-16
You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set. Ps 119:1-3 msg
To live in the blessings of God we must live in the blessing of God. God’s blessing (promise) is in His word. Again, we have a choice to make, to live in the blessings of God of the burdens of man, to live in the blessings of God or elsewhere. There’s a famine in the land and Isaac searches for God’s wisdom on what to do. God told Isaac that the blessing was in staying and trusting God. Isaac did and prospered beyond his neighbors and nemesis. The blessings are in the blessing. Trust God by obeying Him and believing in His word, James writes that the man who endures trials is blessed.
