That life was manifest… 1 John 1:2
When you want to see and understand what life is supposed to look like, look at Jesus. Jesus revealed life to us Himself by how He lived it. This life is lived in revelation that comes out of our relationship with Jesus. John goes on to write, “that which we have seen and heard, we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us…” This life isn’t just some formal religion or manmade rationalization. It’s not just about learning a set of standards to memorize and keep. This life is “manifested” or revealed to us as we get to know and walk with Jesus. This life depends on and living and breathing relationship with Jesus where we see Him, hear Him, and are touched by Him. If our relationship with Jesus isn’t living and breathing, then we need to get a relationship with Jesus that is living and breathing. In a living and breathing relationship with Jesus, there will be revelation. God will show us what life is about and how to live it successfully. It’s real, it’s big and it can be ours when we trade our life for His.
