The Kitchen Table 1 John Day 4
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:5
God is light! That’s totally what He is. He is truth. There is no darkness or deception in Him. And where He is, there is light because He is light. When light enters the room there is no doubt that it is there. It’s the same way with God living in our lives. We can’t hide that sort of thing. We all want light, but we don’t all like what the light shows us. That’s when we close our eyes and walk in darkness. But we want light. No one wants to live deceived, that only makes for fools, but we don’t always like what the light shows us either. We don’t want to see love and life in the light so we think we can say one thing and do another, but we can’t. Light is obvious and so is the love and life of the light. There is no fellowship with God in darkness. Don’t live today with your eyes shut, that requires that others lead you. Maybe that’s the problem, too many professed Christians must be led rather than lead because they have their eyes shut. It’s probably because they don’ like what the light shows them. Don’t be that way. Live in the light with the Light and live.
