Kitchen Table Devotions 2022 Day 10
In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ
1 Peter 1:6-7
Let your trials and troubles push you toward God, not away. Many people do the opposite. Trials and troubles don’t tell us what’s wrong with God but rather what’s wrong with this world. In the midst of trouble, rejoice! Rejoice that you’ve found the truth and fix or cure to this life’s sorrow and sickness. You’ve found the Savior, the Word of God who created all things good. Let your faith, not your fear, move you and prove you a believer. You’ll find that your faith is more precious than gold.
