Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned. James 5:12
Just be real! Don’t worry about being the authority in the room, just speak with authority about what you know. You are loved. God is full of compassion and mercy. Speak as someone who is loved to love. God is the Authority in life, we just live in that authority speaking with the authority of someone He loves. There’s no need to swear or make an oath.
