The Kitchen Table
Day 25
Continue
steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same
time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare
the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I
may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your
speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you
ought to answer each person. Colossians 4:2-6
This is another day that the Lord has made, and He has plans for this day too. God’s will for this day isn’t automatic but achievable. It’s something we discover as we spend time with God and spend our time on God. God can do anything without us but chooses to do everything with us. The God of this universe is waiting to work with us and the way we discover His will is through prayer and obedience. That prayer and obedience is driven by a passion for the presence and purpose of God. God’s will is not automatic but it is achievable through those who have trained their emotions and expectations to see and serve God. It’s what happens as we spend time with God and for God. It’s an amazing thing when God opens the doors, gives us wisdom and works through our lives to share heaven here. Keep Looking!
