The Kitchen Table Philippians Day 13
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Philippians 2:12-13
We’re not in this alone. Jesus didn’t say “follow me” and then leave us in the dust. Jesus comes and lives with us by living in us and this Christian life is a work of cooperation, not isolation. God is with us! We work out our salvation with Him. This means we works this salvation out from our hearts to our heads and our heels by the power and partnership of the Holy Spirit. God doesn’t just want you to have the promise of heaven, He wants you to live there. This is where that “humility” comes in. He loves us and will lead us in His love, light, life and liberty if we will humble ourselves, trust Him and then hear and honor Him with our choices. Nobody loves like He loves us and workout His good pleasure in us. Don’t give up, God is by your side; walk with Him today.
