The Kitchen Table Philippians Day 17
I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my need, Philippians 2:25
Never neglect the importance of a good and godly friend like Epaphroditus. We all need that person who challenges us to be more, go further, reach higher and live better. Without those kinds of friends, we slip into the world of compromise and contentment when we serve a God of great passion and power. They will grow you, stretch you and build your faith. Anyone can be average, lukewarm. Life’s too short to play it safe. These friends live for a cause worth dying for. They can be a nuisance and be necessary at the same time. They don’t make excuses, they execute. Get in their small group. Meet with them regularly. One of the biggest mistakes we can make is to settle for average. Everybody needs an Epaphroditus in their lives. Don’t be afraid of great!
