Philippians Day 4
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.
Philippians 1:21-24
Appreciation and Affection not only give us awareness but move us to application. Love is the great motivator. Where there is an appreciation for what Christ has done and an affection for who Christ is, there we be an application for what Christ wants. “To live is Christ and to die is gain” that is the motto of those who love Him. Where love is real, life will be too. Where there is a love for Christ there will be a longing for His presence, His perspective, His passion, and His power. Love, like hunger will bring us to the table of the Lord. Words will never be enough for the one who loves Jesus. No one is satisfied with mere words, not when it comes to a loving relationship. There are actions that follow affection, love. James writes that faith without works is dead. To live is Christ. What if that was the motto of every Christian and church? What a difference that would make in this life and this world? Let your appreciation and affection for Christ take you to application in Christ, giving you the awareness of Christ. Something good is about to happen.
