Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. 1 John 2:9-10
It’s not what’s said as much as it’s what is lived. Words mean very little without a walk that matches them. And light and darkness don’t share the space. Light evicts the darkness and darkness creeps in as light leaves the room. The room is our hearts. If there is hate in our hearts, then there is darkness in our house. We turn on the light by falling in love with what is good and right and true, and Jesus is good and right and true. Fall in love with Him and the light and life of Jesus will fill the heart. Love brings light and creates life. It does not tempt, threaten, or trouble another. It leaves no one in the dark but shares the light of God’s love so that no one else stumbles. Love bring the light to live without falling. Do you know that love? Does your love share that light?
