Philippians Day 7
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Philippians 2:5-8
You just can’t underestimate the power of serving. It is in serving that we find the joys of life. In order to serve we must surrender. Jesus surrendered to the affections of His Father and served in the authority of His Father. That is how it is with us too. When we surrender to the will of God, we are able to serve in the authority of God. That is the secret. We are surrendering to the affections of God to serve in the authority of God. It just happens. When we surrender our selfishness, we find and live in His significance. And like Jesus, when we surrender to the heart of God, we find the strength of God to face the impossible and do the unimaginable.
