The Game of Life Day 8
Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; 38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” He also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
Luke 6:37-39
We all must see in life to see life. One of the greatest privileges and pleasures of knowing Jesus is the ability to see, to have vision. The vision of God is to see, not just with the eyes in our head but with the eyes of our heart. God gave us eyes, not to just see with, but to see through. We see through our eyes when we look at the world from the convictions of our heart which is God’s word for the believer.
Jesus says, “Judge not, and you will not be judged.” But then He asks, “Can a blind man lead a blind man?” This is not about judging but rather “seeing” to judge. We must make judgments in this life, but we must see first to make the right judgment. The best place to begin seeing is to begin looking at ourselves.
Vision begins with valuing God’s word, believing it for this walk, and using it to see Gods will. God gives us the ability to see. It is powerful to save us from the pain of sin and the power of Satan. Praise God! Let God begin by showing us who we are so that we can have a vision for where we are going. Then let God give us the values we need to have a vision for the life He has for us.
